Green Tara, Female Buddha Thangka Art

Green Tara, a female Buddha, is depicted as a gorgeous human being in Thangka art. Her long-proportioned torso is shown in a deep olive greenish color, contrasting with the patterned fabric on her throne back. The painting method is exceedingly polished, the pigment is flat and thin, and there is a slight emphasis on the linear outline. The innovative merging of the traditional iconographical setting with the color scheme brilliantly captures the mysterious and captivating aspect of Green Tara.

Tara is the female Buddha who has attained full enlightenment. Tara is said to have arisen from Avalokiteshvara's sympathetic tears. In the Buddhist tradition, she is the female embodiment of sophistication.
We get potent sensations of joy, happiness, and intimacy due to thangka practice. She liberates sentient beings from the eight main fears, particularly in the form of the Green Tara, Sengdeng Nagchi Drölma.
