Painting Of Guru Dorje Chang, Vajra Bearer From Urgyen
The Guru Dorje chang, also known as Vajradhara Thangka, portrays him with his consort Yeshe Tsogyal. His dark blue appearance represents his unchangeable and space-like nature as the pure expression of the dharmakaya, holding Vajra in his right hand and bell in his left hand as he embraces his consort in his arms. He is adorned with silk and precious ornaments, a green scarf billows around his shoulders. His is seated crossed leg on a lotus seat rising from the water with other beautiful detailings.

Dorje Chang, also known as Vajradhara, is one of the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche. Vajradhara is the primordial Buddha. Vajradhara represents the essence of the historical Buddha’s realization of enlightenment as his body color; dark blue expresses the quintessence of Buddhahood itself.
