About Our Ritual Item :

The Handcrafted Tibetan Khatan Ritual Dagger is a sacred artifact with roots in Buddhist and Hindu spiritual practices. This stunning artwork, measuring 80 cm in height and 11 cm in width, is made of copper, plated with silver, and elegantly enhanced with detailed acrylic painting. The Khatan has three distinct faces, each representing a different spiritual attribute: the skull face with a smile, which represents impermanence and the cycle of life and death; the staring face, which means deep awareness and wisdom; and the angry face, which represents the ability to overcome negativity and obstacles. The second and third faces are adorned with earrings on both ears, lending to their magnificent and regal appearance.

This sacred blade is adorned with profound vajra symbolism, which enhances its spiritual strength. The half vajra at the top represents the unbreakable force of enlightenment, while the Bhiswo Vajra (universal vajra) in the center represents absolute truth and ultimate reality. The bottom of the Khatan also has a half-vajra, which grounds the energy and connects it to the spiritual essence of protection and knowledge. This strong item, designed for rituals, ceremonies, and spiritual practices, is a must-have for temples, altars, and meditation areas, representing change, protection, and divine might.

Introduction To The Khatvanga :

Khatvanga is a stick with a skull on top, commonly used in Tantric rituals. It is also depicted in the hands of the oldest known Tantric pictures in the Indic world. It comprises a short stick topped by a single skull from which a vajra emerges.

The khatvanga had a profound meaning in the Tantric Buddhist environment. At its most basic level, it represents the opposite-gender counterpart of the equal or close deity who carries it.

Tsang Nyon Heruka and Padmasambhava are renowned for holding a khatvanga staff on their left shoulder.

I received the thangka very quickly in beautiful condition. It was very carefully wrapped in multiple protective layers, many thanks to Enlightenment Thangka for their care. The thangka itself is beautifully done, printed on canvas with meticulous attention to detail. Very much looking forward to getting it framed and on the wall!

I had a wonderful experience buying a Thangka from Enlightenment Thangka. The quality of their products is top-notch, delivery was quick, the staff were very friendly, and the packaging was excellent. I highly recommend them and am already looking forward to placing my next order.

Such a beautiful thangka. It carries many blessings. The image itself is masterfully painted with great devotion. The brochade fabric quality is incredibly high and it is sewn with great skill and care. The thangka on the left was also purchased from “Enlightenment Thangka” a couple of years ago and it is also of this same high quality as the Guru Rinpoche in the right. I cannot recommend these people enough. Beautiful devoted work.

Is a long waiting lesson I’ve been looking forward. For someone totally new, this is really an amazing experience to explore your hidden talent in Thangka drawing. I’m grateful the Enlightenment Thangka team’s great coordination to make this happened, the Thangka master, Nyam la that patiently guided me through my journey. He was very patience to explain every single line during the lesson, he puts things in a very simple way, never rush on me. Yet, he spent time to looking into my drawing upon my submission. He also sending back his feedback in details to further guiding me to perfect the drawing line.

The master and team encouragements truly keeping my momentum to perfecting my drawing. This amazing journey had let me experiencing my inner peace, the hidden talent I’ve never knew, part of my spiritual journey. I will definitely will keep continuing my journey with them in future to fulfill my dream.

Sharing my in progress Thangka artwork. ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེ། 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Very nice and warm shopping experience. The statue is firmly packed and protected during transport. Looking forward to my next order!

Although Tangton Gyalpo is a major Lama, it is not easy to find tankhas depicting him. This one is just perfect.

      Excellent service and beautiful products!

      Excellent service and beautiful products!

Magnifique Thangka ! Un excellent support pour ma pratique, cette thangka est très inspirante. Les dimensions impressionnante 2,40m x 1,60 donnent beaucoup force à l'ensemble !
Service client au top et livraison super rapide ! Merci !

It arrived today and exceeded all expectations. It's perfect!

Quality brocade. Intricate design and mounted well. This silk weave has the heavier, sturdier, “rougher” feel to it than its smoother, shinier sibling.

Personally, this experience has been a memorable one as I've got to learn from an actual thangka master and teacher himself. The entire three day experience has been nothing short of mesmerizing and sacred. If your intuition is calling you to pursue this, please do not pass off this special opportunity to learn from the one of the sources of authentic thangka painting for this experience is a heartwarming one.

      Amazingly beautiful brocade!

very beautiful and made of quality material.

Beautiful thangka...you did a good job, you have to see it to believe it.
The delicate lines, the refreshing colors are just incredible. A thangka that represents us corresponds to the name of the refuge that a very GREAT master gave us

      Amizing

      Hi Neelam,
