This Meditating Happy Buddha Thangka art depicts Shakyamuni. Our artist used a natural stone color scheme and 24k gold to create this thangka. Buddha is seated in the middle, beneath a tree's shade meditating. His hands are in the posture of meditation. The dark color of the tree and the serene environment portrays the peace that radiates from the art.

Note: Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.
Shakyamuni Buddha founded the Buddhist faith. In the sixth century B.C.E., he lived and taught in India, at a period of rising religious and philosophical thinking from Greece to China. Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom and was nurtured to be a king in line with his royal father's aspirations. Later, he abandoned his palace and went on searching for enlightenment.

CONSECRATION OF THANGKA
As requested for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to Monasteries/Rinpoches from nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $20 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration services.
