About Our Product
The Handcrafted Himalayan Vajrasattva Statue is a sacred artwork representing Vajrasattva, the Buddhist deity of purification and spiritual renewal. Measuring 44 cm in height and 35 cm in width, and weighing 3.35 kg, this striking statue is crafted from a copper body and adorned with 24K gold plating, electro gold plating, acrylic colors, crystal, and handcarved gemstones. The elaborate craftsmanship and radiant detailing reflect traditional Himalayan artistry, making this piece a powerful spiritual centerpiece for altars and meditation spaces.
This sacred composition centers on Vajrasattva, the Bodhisattva of purification, seated in serene meditation upon a lotus throne that symbolizes purity rising above worldly suffering. He holds the vajra at his heart, representing indestructible wisdom, while the bell signifies compassion and the realization of ultimate truth, together expressing the perfect union of wisdom and compassion. His calm face and balanced posture convey spiritual clarity and the cleansing of negative karma. A radiant jeweled halo and elaborate floral arch surround him, symbolizing divine light, sacred protection, and the brilliance of enlightened awareness. On both the right and left sides sit Dzambhala, the deity of wealth and prosperity, depicted as guardian attendants who support the central figure. Their presence represents the removal of obstacles, the granting of abundance, and the accumulation of merit necessary for spiritual progress. The richly adorned pedestal and flowing vine motifs symbolize flourishing life energy, spiritual growth, and the continuous flow of blessings. Together, the imagery expresses a harmonious union of purification, protection, prosperity, and awakened wisdom emanating from the enlightened center.
This Himalayan Vajrasattva Statue serves as both a powerful devotional object and a remarkable expression of sacred Himalayan art. Ideal for personal altars, meditation rooms, temples, or refined spiritual interiors, it creates a serene atmosphere that encourages mindfulness and inner purification. The harmonious combination of symbolic elements and intricate craftsmanship makes this statue a meaningful centerpiece that radiates blessings, spiritual protection, and a sense of elevated sacred presence.
Introduction of Vajrasattva
Vajrasattva is typically regarded as the second patriarch in the Shingon Buddhist lineage, the first being Vairocana Buddha. According to Kukai's writings in Record of the Dharma Transmission, Nagarjuna encountered Vajrasatva in an iron tower in southern India, based on Amoghavajra's testimony. As recounted in the Mahavairocana Sutra, Vajrasatva inducted Nagarjuna into the abhiseka ceremony and entrusted him with the esoteric teachings he had gained from Vairocana Buddha. Kukai doesn't go into detail on Vajrasatva or his beginnings.
