Introduction to Marici

Marici is highly regarded in Buddhist tradition as a potent protection against bodily injury and spiritual impediments. Marici is frequently connected to the sun and the light of dawn. Her name, which translates to "Ray of Light," represents her contribution to eradicating ignorance's darkness and guiding creatures toward enlightenment. Seven pigs pulling Marici's chariot symbolizes her power over impurities and her ability to channel negative energy into sources of emancipation and strength. The magnificent Marici sculpture brilliantly captures her guardian and enlightening presence, providing practitioners who wish to walk the path of Dharma with courage and clarity with a symbol of empowerment and direction.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
