The Mahakala Tibetan Thangka, a powerful representation of the angry god in Tibetan Buddhism, is brought to life by a careful fusion of holy materials and traditional artistic techniques, especially in the Karma Gadri style. The finest cotton canvas, which represents resilience and purity, is the basis for the Thangka's creation, which acts as a canvas for Mahakala's divine manifestation. Following the rich teachings of Karma Gadri, acrylic colors are expertly applied, enhancing Mahakala's fierce and protective form with each layer's vibrancy and intensity. When used sparingly, 24-karat gold leaf adds a sense of spiritual significance and luxury. It highlights the sacred character of this angry god by giving certain parts of the Thangka a radiant shine.

His angry appearance is not a sign of evil; rather, it is a strong and caring force that addresses ignorance and negativity. Mahakala is frequently connected to time, signifying the unstoppable flow of time and the changing nature of all things. The removal of obstacles, protection, and guidance are sought after by devotees of Mahakala, who understand the transformative power of his fierce compassion in overcoming the trials of the spiritual path.

As requested for consecrations/blessings, we can take Thangka to Monasteries/Rinpoches from nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $50 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration services.
