White Tara, one of the revered Three Long Life Deities, embodies compassion, serenity, and the power to extend life. She is depicted in a tranquil padmasana (full lotus) posture atop a lotus pedestal and moon disc, both signifying purity and spiritual presence. Her right hand is in the Varada Mudra, symbolizing generosity and the bestowal of blessings, while her left hand, held in the Vitarka Mudra—the gesture of teaching—holds a lotus, representing wisdom and the blossoming of spiritual growth. She features seven eyes: two on her face, one on her forehead, and one on each palm and sole. These signify her boundless awareness and compassionate vigilance over all beings. Crowned with the five Dhyani Buddhas, she reflects the five transcendent wisdoms that dispel delusion and guide the path to enlightenment. Her elegant ornaments—jewels, silks, and sacred adornments—further highlight her divine grace and enlightened nature.
