About Our Statue:

Nataraj statues is made from handcrafted brass, and Shiva is typically depicted standing on a rectangular base. The iconic depiction of Nataraj features Shiva standing on one leg, with the other leg raised and bent, and his arms outstretched, holding various objects that symbolize his power and mastery over the universe. The statue is adorned with intricate carvings and craftsmanship designs.

Introduction To Nataraj and Natarajasna:

Nataraj, also known as Nataraja, depicts the Hindu god Shiva as the cosmic dancer. The word "Nataraj" is a combination of two Sanskrit words, "Nata," which means dance, and "Raja," which means king, and thus translates to "King of Dance." Shiva's dynamic and rhythmic movements characterize the image of Nataraj as he performs the Tandava, a vigorous dance representing the eternal cycle of creation, preservation, and destruction in Hindu mythology.

The statue portrays the Natrajasana, better known as Lord of the Dance Pose, a yoga asana named after Nataraj. Nataraja's cosmic dance, which represents creation, destruction, and balance, is frequently seen as being represented by this position. In this pose, the practitioner lifts one leg behind the torso and holds it with one hand while extending the other arm forward. Flexibility, strength, and balance are all needed for this position.

Nataraja's dance serves as a visual depiction of the equilibrium between conflicting forces, which is the significance of Natrajasana. It is thought to enhance attention, concentration, and physical and mental stability in the practitioner. By increasing flexibility in the hips and shoulders, this pose also strengthens the knees, ankles, and core.

Depending on the practitioner's perspective and purpose, Natrajasana can have a variety of meanings and implications. While some may concentrate on its physical advantages, some may regard it as a tangible manifestation of spiritual ideas. This position is an intense and challenging yoga asana that may improve physical and emotional wellness.

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a
glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. Directly touching with the bare hand objects can
smudge the face, leaving scratches.
