Note: Vajradhara Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.

Vajradhara, the primordial Buddha, is revered as the embodiment of unchanging, timeless awareness and the supreme source of all enlightened wisdom in Tibetan Buddhism. Often depicted in a blue or dark-colored form, Vajradhara holds the vajra (thunderbolt) in his right hand and a bell in his left, symbolizing the union of wisdom and compassion. As the Adi Buddha, Vajradhara represents the ultimate reality beyond conceptualization and is considered the root or origin of all Buddhas. In tantric traditions, Vajradhara is seen as the essence of the enlightened mind, the unbroken lineage of transmission that passes from teacher to disciple. The thangka painting titled "Buddhist Vajradhara Thangka, The Vajra Holder," hand-painted on cotton canvas with natural stone color and 24K gold, becomes a visual portal inviting practitioners to connect with the profound wisdom and transformative energy embodied by Vajradhara on the spiritual path toward enlightenment.
