Introduction To The Tibetan Ghau Box :
According to Buddhist tradition, Padmasambhava predicted a period when Tibetans would need special teachings to get through extremely difficult circumstances, at which point he came up with the explanation for concealing the Treasures. As a result, he developed special Buddhist rites and teachings, especially for specific situations. He then went on to establish the conditions required for their timely disclosure. This required designating a select group of his own disciples to spread those teachings in a later incarnation. Then Padmasambhava gave an upbeat prognostication on that forthcoming knowledge and continued to keep the teachings secret so they would not be available until the appropriate moment, as foretold in the future.
