Hand-painted Traditional Thangka Of Manjushri | Himalayan Art
This traditional Thangka of Manjushri is a magnificent piece of art, painted in the Karma Gadri style with 24K gold and natural stone colors. The use of stone pigments adds depth and texture, while the premium cotton canvas provides a strong base for the vivid hues, boosting the thangka's aesthetic and spiritual appeal. The artwork is illuminated by the 24K gold accents, which accentuate its spiritual presence and evoke celestial brilliance.
Manjushri, revered as the Bodhisattva of Wisdom in Mahayana Buddhism, embodies insight and knowledge. His name translates to "Gentle Glory" or "Sweet Glory," reflecting the profound nature of his wisdom and insight. As a bodhisattva, Manjushri has taken a vow to help all beings attain enlightenment, but he is particularly associated with the wisdom that leads to the direct realization of truth. Manjushri sits on a blooming lotus seat, symbolizing purity, spiritual awakening, and detachment from worldly illusions. In his right hand, he holds a fiery sword of wisdom, raised to cut through ignorance and negativity. In his left hand, he has the Prajnaparamita Sutra on a blue lotus flower. He is draped in a flowing silk scarf, accentuating his divine and graceful appearance.
