Arya Tara, also known as Green Tara, is one of the most revered deities within Tibetan Buddhism—serving as the swift protector and compassionate savior who responds immediately to the pleas of those in distress. According to Buddhist tradition, Tara originated from the tears of Avalokiteshvara (Chenrezig) during his lament for the suffering of all beings.
