Handmade Female Bodhisattva White Tara Thangka | Goddess of Longevity and Compassion
The female bodhisattva White Tara thangka is hand-painted on cotton canvas, utilizing authentic 24K gold and acrylic colors. Created in the traditional Karma Gadri style, it highlights the essential elements of Tibetan sacred art—fine linework, an open layout, and gentle, natural colors.
In Tibetan Buddhism, White Tara is a revered female deity symbolizing compassion, healing, longevity, and protection. She sits on a lotus throne in a vajra posture, representing purity and enlightenment. Her right hand is in Varada Mudra, offering blessings and compassion, while her left hand at her heart in Abhaya Mudra cradles a blooming lotus, signifying wisdom and purity. Adorned with a five-jeweled crown, golden ornaments, and silk scarves, her seven eyes symbolize omniscient awareness, perceiving suffering across realms and responding with motherly compassion.
