Handmade Female Bodhisattva White Tara Thangka | Goddess of Longevity and Compassion
Female Bodhisattva White Tara Thangka is created on cotton canvas, providing a traditional surface that supports detailed Himalayan painting techniques. The canvas preserves the elegant esthetics of the Karma Gadri style while enabling artists to create precise contours, harmonious compositions, and minute details. Throughout the religious composition, the artwork's acrylic colors are expertly placed to produce vivid tones, smooth layers, and emotive details. White Tara's serene presence is enhanced by these colors, which clearly highlight her elegant form, symbolic components, and surrounding artistic patterns. White Tara's healing and compassionate presence is reflected in the bright quality of genuine 24K gold, which is subtly blended into jewelry, decorative motifs, and sacred ornaments.
Tibetan Buddhism admires White Tara, also known as Sita Tara, as a symbol of compassion, wisdom, and longevity. Traditionally shown seated on a lotus, she demonstrates the purity and tranquillity achieved through compassion. White Tara is often associated with providing healing, protection, and granting long life. At the same time, her multiple-eye depictions on her palms, feet, and forehead represent her vigilance and ability to see all beings suffering so she can assist them in attaining liberation from that suffering. When invoked for practitioners’ longevity and well-being, she is thought to provide both spiritual and physical healing through her mantras. For practitioners, White Tara’s serene presence serves as a constant reminder to develop compassion, patience, and mindfulness throughout the journey towards enlightenment, with an emphasis on healing both self and others.
