Chengrezig Mandala:
The Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara, also known as Chengrezig, is portrayed in the Chengrezig Mandala Thangka, a traditional Tibetan Buddhist painting, which is encircled by complex patterns and symbols. The mandala is made in a circular shape with vivid colors and great attention to detail.
Avalokiteshvara, a figure with four arms carrying a different symbolic object, such as a lotus flower or prayer beads, sits in the middle of the mandala. Eight miniature images of himself that each represent a different facet of compassion surround him.
The mandala's outermost circle is divided into four pieces, each of which represents a different god or symbol. The four cardinal directions and the elements of earth, water, fire, and air are represented by these symbols.
