Serene and radiant, this 13-inch Maitreya Buddha thangka captures the future Buddha in a moment of timeless grace and spiritual readiness. The exquisite beauty of the traditional Karma Gadri style is showcased in this thangka, which is hand-painted on fine cotton canvas using natural stone colors and accented with genuine 24K gold. Soft landscapes, delicate lines, and rich yet gentle colors create a peaceful, meditative atmosphere.
Maitreya, the future Buddha, is depicted seated on a lion throne, symbolizing his purity and awakened mind. His hands are held in the Dharmachakra Mudra, a gesture of turning the Wheel of Dharma. Both hands also hold a blossoming lotus stem. Atop the right lotus rests a Dharma Wheel, representing his role as the future teacher who will set the Dharma in motion again. On the left lotus, a vase is placed, symbolizing long life, spiritual abundance, and the fulfillment of aspirations. Maitreya is adorned with a five-jeweled crown, ornate earrings, necklaces, and flowing silk robes. A multi-layered halo and rainbow-colored aureole are behind him, framed within an elaborately patterned throne. The throne's base is flanked by mythical snow lions, symbolizing fearless protection and the strength of enlightenment.

CONSECRATION OF THANGKA
As per your request for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to nearby monasteries/Rinpoches from Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask that you contribute $50 to the monasteries for these blessing/consecration services.
