Golden Grace on Red, 4 Arms Avalokiteshvara Thangka, Deity of Compassion

Description

4 Arms Avalokiteshvara Thangka | Hand-Painted in Nakthang Style with 24K Gold on Red Canvas

The 4 Arms Avalokiteshvara Thangka is a unique Nepali creation by Enlightenment Studio, meticulously hand-painted using acrylic colors and 24K gold. Following the Nakthang style, a unique Himalayan painting tradition where gold detailing is intricately worked over a deep red background.

Nakthang, a sacred thangka technique from the Tibetan lineage, uses red to symbolize compassion and power, while gold is meticulously layered to form intricate patterns. The shimmering gold outlines lotus petals, floral scrolls, and divine garments with profound grace, illuminating the peaceful and powerful presence of Avalokiteshvara.

Avalokiteshvara, a four-armed Chenrezig, embodies the boundless compassion of all Buddhas. His two central hands are clasped in Anjali Mudra, holding a wish-fulfilling crystal, symbolizing pure intention. His right hand holds a crystal rosary, guiding beings to liberation through mantra recitation, while the left holds a fully bloomed lotus, representing the unfolding of wisdom and enlightenment.

The deerskin over his shoulder signifies gentleness and non-violence. Sitting in vajra posture, he radiates calm and benevolence. This thangka is a sacred tool for meditation, devotion, and daily inspiration, serving as a visual homage to Avalokiteshvara and a sacred tool for meditation and devotion.
