8 Medicine Buddha, Bhaisajyaguru Digital Thangka Print
The 8 Medicine Buddha' Digital Thangka print depicts Bhaisajyaguru, or Medicine Buddha, in the center, surrounded by his 'Six Brothers' and Shakyamuni Buddha. Their diverse colors and right-hand motions distinguish these eight figures, who all wear the three red monastic robes of a nirmanakaya Buddha and sit in vajra-posture upon a moon disc and lotus.
He is sapphire blue, with golden 8 wheels on his palms and soles. He gently holds the stem of a myrobalan plant that bears three ripe fruits with his right hand, making the varada-mudra of extreme generosity. He has an alms bowl of blue-beryl gemstone that contains three other myrobalan fruits with his left hand resting on his lap in the dhyana-mudra.
Shakyamuni Buddha, who is golden in color and makes the earth-touching motion with his lowered right hand and the dhyana-mudra with his left hand, is in the bottom left.
Supari Kiritita Nama Sri Rajanis, the 'Glorious King with the Renowned Name.' With his lowered right hand, he makes the Abhaya mudra of protection, and with his left hand, he makes the dhyana-mudra.
Svaraghosa Raja, the golden-yellow-colored 'King of Melodious Sound.' With his lowered right hand, he performs the boon-granting varada-mudra and the dhyana-mudra.
Bhadra Suvarna Vimala makes the teaching gesture with his right hand in front of his heart and the dhyana-mudra with his left hand.
'Gloriously Supreme without Sorrow' is Asokottama Shri. He is light crimson and sits in the dhyana-mudra of reflective equilibrium with both hands resting on his lap.
The 'Dharma-proclaiming Sound of the Ocean' is Dharmakirti Sagara. He is white and makes the teaching gesture with his right hand in front of his heart and the dhyana-mudra with his left hand.
Abhijna Raja is a coral red-colored 'King of Supreme Knowledge.' With his lowered right hand, he performs the boon-granting varada-mudra and the dhyana-mudra.
