Avalokiteshvara, known as the Bodhisattva of Compassion, represents unbounded mercy and devotion to easing all beings' suffering. Avalokiteshvara's appealing form of 11 faces and 1000 arms represents his ability to discern and respond to the different needs of countless sentient beings. Each eye on his palms reflects his all-seeing wisdom, while the lotus, rosary, and Dharma Wheel serve as reminders of his function as a guardian and savior. Focusing on Avalokiteshvara during meditation develops a heart that is full of empathy, compassion, and unshakable love, which strengthens one's bond with all living things.
