Buddha Life Story
Introduction To The Thangka :
You can purchase a rare Vintage Thangka that was acquired in the 1980s and has been stored in pristine condition for all these years. This thangka shows Shakyamuni Buddha and his two principal pupils as they are portrayed in the most traditional versions. Buddha is perched in the vajra position atop a lotus flower and white moon disc.
Shakyamuni Buddha was a teacher, and it was from his teachings that the foundations of the Wholesome Dharma were built. He is revered as the Supreme Buddha and the most revered figure to be worshipped while standing on two legs. It is important to remember that the Buddha was not revered as a deity, despite confusion among non-Buddhists. The same as the rest of us, he was a straightforward person.
