The Buddha of Healing, Sangye Menla Thangka, is a carefully hand-painted sacred piece made in our studio using authentic 24K gold and acrylic colors on high-quality cotton canvas. The use of acrylic colors enables vibrant contrasts and durable finishes, while the gold details impart spiritual luminosity and reverence to the thangka. Karma Gadri's artwork features open compositions, clear lines, and vast landscapes, allowing the central figure to radiate clarity and serenity. This thangka depicts Sanye Menla, recognized as Medicine Buddha or Bhaisajyaguru, with a lapis lazuli blue body that signifies transcendental healing wisdom. In his right hand, he holds a stem of the myrobalan plant, a revered medicinal herb believed to treat both physical and spiritual ailments. CONSECRATION OF THANGKA
As per your request for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to nearby monasteries/Rinpoches from Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask that you contribute $50 to the monasteries for these blessing/consecration services.
