Introduction of Guru Rinpoche
In Tibetan Buddhism, Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is revered as the Second Buddha. He introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century, establishing the foundation for spiritual practice in the region. Believed to appear in visionary encounters with tertöns, he empowers practitioners to access the hidden treasures of the Dharma. Devotees invoke his blessings through mantras like "Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum," which is said to dispel obstacles and foster spiritual growth. Guru Rinpoche’s teachings, particularly his 25 disciples and 108 manifestations, have profoundly influenced Tibetan Buddhist traditions.
