Eight Medicine Buddhas Thangka | Bhaisajyaguru & Healing Deities

Emanating healing energy and spiritual compassion, the Eight Medicine Buddhas are illustrated in this beautiful Thangka, each radiating divine wisdom and healing power. These Buddhas serve as formidable protectors of physical and spiritual health, holding sacred healing tools that symbolize their ability to alleviate pain and provide protection. The vibrant acrylic colors and intricate design on cotton canvas bring the Eight Medicine Buddhas to life, emphasizing their diverse forms and powerful qualities.

With divine compassion and wisdom, the central figure of this Thangka, Bhaisajyaguru, or the Medicine Buddha, radiates in striking blue. Referred to as Vaiduryaprabharaja, he holds the stem of a myrobalan plant in his right hand, which symbolizes sacred Tibetan healing. His left hand is in the dhyana mudra, cradling an alms bowl filled with fruits and nectar, representing his role as the ultimate healer of both the body and spirit. Bhaisajyaguru is accompanied by his Six Brothers, each symbolizing different forms of healing wisdom, along with Shakyamuni Buddha, who provides additional blessings and guidance.
