Introduction of Siddhartha Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama, born as the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom, was raised as a king according to his royal father's wishes. Around age 29, he became aware of the immense suffering people endure. He then renounced his opulent lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of this anguish and find a cure. After more than six years of study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he finally achieved his objective, attaining nirvana and becoming a Buddha. Following this, he proclaimed his teachings at a deer park outside Sarnath (Benares), near Varanasi, India.
