In Tibetan Buddhism, the Five Dzambhalas are potent deities that are associated to wealth and prosperity. They each have distinct characteristics and traits. Namtoshe, majestically rested on a Snow Lion atop a moon disc upon a lotus seat. In one hand he carries a banner, signifying prosperity and victory; in the other he holds a jewel-spitting mongoose, indicating an abundance of wealth. The vivid forms of the Yellow, Red, Green, White, and Black Dzambhalas surround him, each offering their own special blessings and energies. Vajrapani is shown above Namtoshe, signifying the removing of impediments and the safeguarding of the teachings. Ratnasamvara, the embodiment of ultimate riches and enlightenment, sits at the summit of the composition. By establishing a harmonious balance, this elaborate design invites benefits of protection, abundance, and spiritual development.
