Gautam Buddha Siddhartha Thangka For Mindfulness
This genuine 24K gold thangka depicts Buddha Shakyamuni with his disciples. Buddha's face is highlighted by a vivid halo and a radiant nimbus surrounding him. He is seated on a moon disc lotus throne and displays a serene demeanor. His left hand is on his lap, holding a begging bowl, and his right hand is making the mudra of the earth touch. Standing on either side of the offerings, his disciples each hold a Khakkhara in their right hand and an alms bowl in their left. His disciples are making offerings to him.

Shakyamuni Buddha is the historical Buddha, the originator of Buddhist philosophy, and is commonly referred to as "the Buddha." In the Buddhist religion, each "Kalpa" (a Buddhist eon) is considered to have its own Buddha, whose teachings gradually fade until the next Buddha arrives. He is believed to have lived around 420 BC and spent most of his time preaching the teachings of Dharma. The Life of Buddha Thangka depicts his life in detail. He is regarded as a role model, mentor, and inspiration. The "dharma," or spiritual belief, and the "sanga," or Buddhist community, are said to secure his presence on Earth.
