About Our Product
This Gemstone Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is a finely handcrafted copper sculpture made in 2019, making it approximately 6 years old. Shakyamuni Buddha is seated within an exceptionally elaborate ornamental Buddhist throne, which features extensive filigree artwork, intricate relief carving, coral and turquoise embellishments, acrylic color, and 24K gold and silver plating. The throne is richly decorated with numerous floral, scrolling, and symbolic motifs, with a prominent Garuda motif at the upper section and another Garuda motif incorporated into the lower section. The layered construction and detailed ornamentation give the throne a highly elaborate and distinctive Himalayan appearance.
Shakyamuni Buddha is revered as the historical Buddha who attained enlightenment and taught the path to liberation. Here, he is presented calmly seated within the ornate throne, which serves as a richly decorated architectural and symbolic setting for the central figure. The Garuda motifs positioned above and below the Buddha, together with the intricate filigree, relief work, gemstone embellishments, and ornamental details, create a visually balanced throne that emphasizes the dignified presence of Shakyamuni Buddha.
This Handcrafted Shakyamuni Buddha Statue with Ornate Throne is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, shrine rooms, spiritual collections, traditional interiors, and prominent decorative displays. Its substantial size and elaborate throne make it particularly suited as a centerpiece. The combination of 2019 craftsmanship, copper construction, extensive filigree work, coral and turquoise gemstones, acrylic painting, 24K gold and silver plating, and detailed Garuda and ornamental motifs throughout the throne makes it a distinctive example of traditional Himalayan Buddhist sculpture.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was raised to be a monarch in accordance with the goals of his royal father after being born as the powerful Shakya Kingdom's crown prince. But when he was approximately 29 years old, he became aware of the excruciating suffering endured by humans. He gave up his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and wealth to learn the causes of this suffering and how to put an end to it. He succeeded in his goal after nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and intense focus. He was now fully enlightened (a Buddha). On the outskirts of Varanasi, he claimed to have been to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India.
