Guru Rinpoche With Consort, Padmasambhava Thangka
Guru Rinpoche with consort is depicted seated firmly on a lotus seat in the thangka. The Padmasambhava art is handpainted by our artist seated on his lap, clutching a vajra in his right hand and a skullcap on his left and khatvanga with skull heads around his left arm. His consort is seated on his lap, embracing him with her right hand and holding a skullcup in her left. The highly patterned robe that he wears and the outer robe cover his entire body and his consort's. The background hues are dark and robust with hills and colored trees and the flowing river with waves and ritual offerings. The vibrating green Halo gives him a radiance that contrasts with the beautiful blue striped nimbus that shimmers around him. Both have beautifully designed gold and bejeweled ornaments.

Note: Guru Rinpoche Consort Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.
Guru Padmasambhava is not only a fully enlightened Buddha, but he has also manifested as one of the greatest sages of the Vajrayana Buddhist world. He was born miraculously and served infinite beings for millenniums through the power of his wisdom and compassion. He manifested Zangdok Palri Pureland and remained there in the body of light.
Twelve years after the Maha Parinirvana of the Buddha, the rays of blessing light of the Buddha of Infinite Light touched a lotus in the Milk Ocean in the Southwest direction from Bodhgaya. As a result, Guru Padmasambhava was born miraculously in that lotus by "lotus birth" without human parents.
HAND-PAINTED WITH POSTER COLORS AND 24K GOLD IN TRADITIONAL KARMA GADRI STYLE.
