Handmade White Manjushri Statue | Bodhisattva of Divine Wisdom
This handmade statue of White Manjushri is standing at 17.5”/44.5cm (Height) and 16.5”/42cm (Base). This statue is made up of copper, covered with a triple layer of 24K gold gilding, and carved with deeply engraved carvings that produce a magnificent 3D-like effect. This sculpture, adorned with hand-carved gemstones, handcrafted by expert Nepalese artisans, elegantly symbolizes Himalayan Buddhism's sacred traditions, making it an appropriate addition to altars, meditation places, or sacred collections.
Flaming Sword held in his right hand, resting on a lotus stem, this sword represents the cutting through of ignorance and obstacles to wisdom. In his left hand, he holds a blue lotus upon which rests the Prajnaparamita Sutra, symbolizing the teachings of ultimate wisdom and emptiness. Depicted as seated in the vajra posture (legs crossed), symbolizing stability and strength in meditation. White Manjushri rides a lion, which represents courage, strength, and the fearless nature of wisdom. The mudra White Manjushri is displayed in the 'Dharmachakra mudra. It is the gesture of teaching and intellectual discussion, which is achieved by joining the tips of the thumb and index finger together while the other fingers point upwards.
