About Our Product
This Handmade Golden Manjushri Statue captures the essence of Manjushri, the Bodhisattva of Wisdom. Standing at 16.5 cm tall, it is crafted from a copper body, adorned with 24K gold plating, and enhanced with vibrant acrylic colors. Manjushri is shown holding a flaming sword in his right hand, symbolizing the cutting through of ignorance, and a lotus flower supporting the Prajnaparamita Sutra, representing supreme knowledge.
Manjushri is traditionally depicted holding the flaming sword of discriminating wisdom in his right hand, symbolising the cutting through of ignorance and delusion. In his left hand, he holds the Prajnaparamita Sutra, representing the perfection of wisdom and ultimate truth. This classical iconography follows established Tibetan Buddhist traditions and conveys the bodhisattva’s role as the embodiment of transcendent wisdom.
Spiritually, Manjushri embodies enlightened wisdom (prajñā), guiding practitioners toward clarity of thought and a deeper understanding of the Dharma. This statue serves as a visual reminder to cultivate insight, discernment, and awakened intelligence, supporting mindfulness, study, and contemplative practice in daily life.
Introduction of Manjushri
Manjushri means "very auspicious" in Sanskrit. As one of the compassion bodhisattvas, Manjushri is particularly well-known among Tibetan Buddhists. He is compared to a brilliant sun. Manjushri is also depicted in the Eleven Figurative Forms of Avalokiteshvara as the Bodhisattva of Great Wisdom, also known as the Buddha Resplendent, with a radiant body like a sun.
