Compact and Serene: Historical Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama | Meditating Buddha
Bring the serene presence of the historical Buddha Siddhartha Gautama into your space with this 6.5 x 9-inch thangka, painted by skilled artisans in our Enlightenment Studio. Though compact, this painting is imbued with powerful detail, hand-painted on fine cotton canvas using natural stone colors and 24K gold accents in the traditional Karma Gadri style. It's ideal for sacred altars, travel shrines, or personal meditation corners, offering a concentrated sense of peace and devotion wherever placed.
Siddhartha Gautama, the historical Buddha, was born as a royal prince and renounced worldly life in search of truth and liberation. After years of practice, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree and became the Shakyamuni Buddha, whose teachings form the foundation of Buddhism. His image in thangka art symbolizes awakening, compassion, and detachment from suffering. This thangka shows him in meditation, with his right hand in the bhumisparsha mudra, calling the Earth to witness his enlightenment. Whether you're beginning or deepening your spiritual journey, this Buddha thangka provides a timeless link to inner peace and mindful living.
