Female Longevity Deity, White Tara Thangka | Deity of Compassion
The Longevity Deity, White Tara, is revered as the embodiment of purity, healing, and compassion in Tibetan Buddhism. She offers protection and helps overcome spiritual and physical challenges. The serene and compassionate White Tara is depicted in this hand-painted thangka using natural stone colors and genuine gold. Following the Karma Gadri style, known for harmony, delicate landscapes, and vibrant colors. The use of stone colors provides a lively yet subtle effect, enhancing the deity's radiant presence. At the same time, the application of gold highlights her ornaments and crown.
The artwork harmonizes White Tara with a soft, mountainous background. The delicate brushwork and intricate detailing reflect the artist's finesse and expertise, creating a visually captivating and spiritually uplifting piece. White Tara, a symbol of purity and spiritual awakening, is depicted on a moon disc, seated on a lotus throne, wearing a crown of five jewels and adorned with jewelry on her radiant, white body. Her left hand is in Abhaya Mudra, holding a lotus, which symbolizes purity and enlightenment, while her right hand is in Varada Mudra, signifying compassion and giving. She has seven eyes for vigilance, observing suffering from all directions. Made in our Enlightenment Studio, this piece is ideal for sacred or meditation spaces, featuring soothing colors and meticulous craftsmanship.
