About Our Product
This Spiritual Master Guru Rinpoche Statue measures 7 cm in height, 4.5 cm in length, and 3 cm in width, with a weight of 0.09 kg. Crafted from an oxidized copper body, this compact sculpture portrays Guru Rinpoche in a seated posture upon a decorated lotus pedestal. His expressive face, elaborate crown, rounded earrings, necklaces, layered robes, and carefully modeled ornaments create a distinctive traditional appearance. The oxidized surface brings out the depth of the carved details, while the machine made construction provides consistent definition throughout the compact figure.
Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava or the Lotus Born Master, is one of the most revered masters of Vajrayana Buddhism and is especially associated with the establishment of Buddhist teachings in Tibet. He is traditionally depicted holding a vajra (thunderbolt) in his right hand, symbolizing indestructible wisdom and enlightened power, while his left hand holds a skull cup, representing the transformation of ordinary experience and the overcoming of attachment. His khatvanga staff, traditionally resting against his left shoulder, represents tantric accomplishment and the union of wisdom and compassionate method. His distinctive headwear, rich ornaments, and composed seated posture reflect his status as a realized tantric master and spiritual guide.
This Guru Rinpoche Buddhist statue is suitable for a personal Buddhist altar, meditation space, shrine, or collection of traditional Himalayan sacred sculptures. Its compact size makes it particularly suitable for smaller devotional settings while preserving the essential iconographic character of Padmasambhava. As a Tibetan Guru Rinpoche sculpture, it serves as a reminder of Vajrayana teachings, spiritual discipline, protection from obstacles, and the aspiration to cultivate wisdom and compassionate awareness.
Introduction of Guru Rinpoche
Guru Rinpoche was a pivotal figure in Tibetan Buddhism. His teachings are recognized through an oral lineage (kama) and a lineage of hidden treasure texts (termas). He is believed to appear in visionary encounters to tertöns, and his form is visualized during guru yoga practice, especially within the Nyingma school. Buddhists across Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, India's Himalayan states, and other global regions revere him.
