13 Inch Lotus-Vajra Guru Rinpoche Thangka | Second Buddha | Vajrayana Buddhism
This Lotus-Vajra Guru Rinpoche Thangka is carefully hand-painted on high-quality cotton canvas using traditional mineral-based hues sourced from natural stones and finished with genuine 24K gold. The natural stone hues guarantee enduring vibrancy and authenticity, while the gold detailing adds brilliant depth to the sacred elements, ornaments, and halo. Following the traditional Karma Gadri style, it features vibrant scenery, fine line work, and balanced harmony.
The Second Buddha of Tibet and the Lotus-Born Master, Guru Rinpoche, also called Padmasambhava, is regarded as the founder of Vajrayana Buddhism in the Himalayan region. He is the embodiment of fearless tantric understanding combined with unbounded compassion. In this thangka, he is peacefully seated on a lotus flower, which is held up by a moon disc that represents purity and enlightenment. In his left hand, he holds a skull cup with the vase of immortality, which symbolizes the conversion of ignorance into wisdom and the achievement of spiritual success, while in his right hand, he holds the five-pronged vajra, which stands for unbreakable awareness and the unification of the five wisdoms. The khatvanga staff, ornamented with symbolic heads and capped with a double vajra, rests on his shoulder, symbolizing the unification of method and wisdom, as well as complete tantric realization. Displaying this thangka can attract his energy, wisdom, and blessings to support your spiritual journey.
