Traditional Namtoshe Buddha Thangka | With Dzambhala and Vasundhara | Deities of Prosperity, Wealth, and Fertility
Namtoshe Buddha, or Vaisravana, is revered as the Buddhist deity of wealth and northern protector. Painted on cotton canvas with vibrant acrylics and 24K gold, it embodies protection, wealth, and spiritual stability. The detailed, balanced Karma Gadri style emphasizes spaciousness and flow, highlighting Namtoshe's divine presence with vivid colors and meticulous craftsmanship.
This Thangka shows Namtoshe seated on a snow lion, holding a jewel-spitting mongoose, symbolizing his blessing of abundance. His fierce look indicates his protective role, guarding wealth and prosperity. Two other deities accompany him: Dzambhala, the wealth deity holding a mongoose, emphasizing wealth and poverty relief, and Vasundhara, the fertility goddess with a serene face on a lotus throne, signifying nurturing abundance and spiritual well-being.
These three deities collectively represent total protection and the gathering of wealth, encompassing both material and spiritual abundance. Namtoshe offers safeguarding against loss and harm, Dzambhala draws wealth toward the devotee, and Vasundhara fosters growth and nourishment. Possessing this Thangka symbolizes inviting prosperity, protection, and spiritual growth into one's life. It functions as a potent talisman for personal devotion or an inspiring piece for a collection, embodying themes of abundance and resilience.
