Nyima Oser Thangka Art, Rays of The Sun
The Thangka art of Nyima Oser portrays his golden hue appearance, an ascetic or yogic adept, adorned with a skull crown and lower garment of tiger skin. He is one of the eight manifestations of Guru Padmasambhava, holding Khatvanga in his uplifted right hand and the sun rays emanating from his left hand. Guru Acarya Nagarjuna holding a damaru and skull is at top. Below him is a monk flying above the clouds. Khye'u Kha Ding Chung Lotsawa is in front communicating with a bird. Below Nyima Odzer is Drogmi Palgyi Yeshe holding a Kila (ritual peg) and bell subduing a negative spirit below. At the right is Yudra Nyingpo wearing the robes of a monk and a red Pandita.

Nyima Oser Thangka is one of the eight manifestations of Guru Rinpoche. After teaching the dakinis in the Charnel Ground of Radiant Beatitude in Kashmir for five years, he earned this name. He went to Akanishta Heaven and received directly from the Adi Buddha Samantabhadra. This thangka is done following Buddhist text and iconography detail to make sure it presents all the right attributes for your meditation practice.
