About Our Product
This Padmasambhava Buddhist Sculpture measures 8.5 cm in height, 8 cm in length, and 4.5 cm in width, with a weight of 0.2 kg. Crafted from compressed turquoise dust, this compact sculpture depicts Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, seated gracefully upon a decorated lotus pedestal. He wears his distinctive lotus hat and flowing robes, with a khatvanga staff resting beside his left shoulder. The surrounding ornamental frame, finely modeled garments, serene expression, and carved lotus base create a peaceful composition, while the turquoise tone gives the sculpture a distinctive sacred appearance.
Guru Rinpoche, or Padmasambhava, is one of the most revered masters of Vajrayana Buddhism and is traditionally honored as the Lotus Born Master. In this representation, he is shown in a composed seated posture, holding a vajra in his right hand, symbolizing indestructible wisdom and enlightened power, while his left hand holds a skull cup, representing transformation and the overcoming of ordinary attachment. The khatvanga staff beside his shoulder is a distinctive tantric attribute associated with spiritual accomplishment and Vajrayana practice. His lotus hat and peaceful expression further identify him as a realized master and spiritual guide.
This Padmasambhava Buddhist sculpture is well suited for a Buddhist altar, meditation space, personal shrine, or sacred collection. Its compact size makes it suitable for smaller devotional settings, while the compressed turquoise material gives it a distinctive artistic character. As a Tibetan Guru Rinpoche sculpture, it serves as a visual reminder of Vajrayana wisdom, spiritual discipline, protection from obstacles, and the transformative potential of dedicated Buddhist practice.
Introduction of Guru Rinpoche
Guru Rinpoche was a pivotal figure in Tibetan Buddhism. His teachings are recognized through an oral lineage (kama) and a lineage of hidden treasure texts (termas). He is believed to appear in visionary encounters to tertöns, and his form is visualized during guru yoga practice, especially within the Nyingma school. Buddhists across Tibet, Nepal, Bhutan, India's Himalayan states, and other global regions revere him.
