Description
Primordial Buddha Vajrasattva Thangka | Embodiment of Purity and Spiritual Transformation
The Primordial Buddha Vajrasattva thangka, sized at 6.5 x 9 inches, symbolizes purification in Vajrayana Buddhism. Known as Dorje Sempa, it represents the purity of all Buddhas and is associated with spiritual cleansing, karmic purification, and inner transformation. It is a hand-painted thangka made from natural stone colors and 24K gold using traditional techniques. Executed in the Karma Gadri style, it embodies the serene aesthetic of Tibetan art, featuring fluid landscapes, soft expressions, and naturalistic forms.
Sitting elegantly on a lotus seat, Vajrasattva symbolizes spiritual awakening and purity. He holds a vajra (dorje) symbolizing compassion and method and a bell (ghanta) representing wisdom. Together, these two sacred implements convey the union of method and wisdom, the core principle in Vajrayana practice. His posture is composed, balanced, and centered, reflecting the stability of the enlightened mind. The halo behind his head symbolizes awakened consciousness.
The thangka, despite its compact size, holds a significant spiritual presence, making it suitable for personal meditation, altar use, or travel, symbolizing one's potential and commitment to inner awakening through each brushstroke's artistic devotion.
