The Divine Energy of Princess Yeshe Tsogyal | Spiritual Consort of Guru Rinpoche | Protector of Teachings
Princess Yeshe Tsogyal is a hand-painted thangka made on cotton canvas, featuring natural stone colors for rich, vibrant hues. This traditional Tibetan thangka has been used for centuries, providing depth and authenticity. The thangka is further enhanced with genuine 24K gold, applied with precision to highlight key elements, such as the crown, jewelry, and divine features of Yeshe Tsogyal. The gold adds a radiant, sacred touch, symbolizing enlightenment, purity, and the divine nature of the subject. This combination captures the essence of spiritual energy, ensuring the thangka remains a timeless piece of art.
Yeshe Tsogyal, the Princess of Tibet, is a pivotal female figure in Tibetan Buddhism. She was the principal consort of Padmasambhava and one of the first female Tibetan masters to achieve full enlightenment. Known for her wisdom, strength, and dedication, she played a central role in the transmission of Buddhist teachings to Tibet, helping to preserve the Dharma for future generations.
In this thangka, she is depicted with profound grace and power. Her right hand is in a Karana Mudra, symbolizing the removal of obstacles and dispelling negative energies. In contrast, her left hand holds a Kapala, symbolizing the transformation of ego and wisdom to transcend suffering. She wears a crown with five jewels, a necklace, a silk scarf, and an anklet. Sitting on a moon disc above a lotus seat, she symbolizes purity, spiritual wisdom, and unwavering devotion. This thangka serves as a reminder of her spiritual strength, compassion, and commitment to the Dharma, offering blessings of wisdom, protection, and peace.
