Description

Divine Purification Buddha Vajrasattva | 9" x 13" Thangka of the Buddha Who Clears Obstacles and Negative Karma

The Purification Buddha, Vajrasattva, a highly regarded figure in Vajrayana Buddhism who embodies the pure essence of all Buddhas. He is invoked in various practices to purify negative karma and eliminate mental barriers. This painting, created by skilled thangka artists in our studio, follows the traditional Karma Gadri style. It features a naturalistic landscape, intricate details, and expansive compositions that highlight the deity's spiritual presence. The artist employs natural hues from Lhasa stone to achieve a soft texture, complemented by delicate gold accents in the crown, jewelry, and garments.

Vajrasattva, a Buddhist deity, is portrayed on a lotus seat that signifies his divine purity and detachment from earthly suffering. He dons a five-jeweled crown, which symbolizes the five Dhyani Buddhas, complemented by traditional silk garments and scarves. In his right hand, he carries a vajra (dorje), representing compassion and skillful means, while his left hand holds a bell (ghanta), embodying wisdom and the feminine principle. His white form symbolizes both physical grace and spiritual essence. This thangka serves as a compelling visual tool for inner transformation, enhancing the practices of Vajrasattva and purification rituals.
