Saptalochani Thangka | Compact White Tara for Compassion and Longevity
Our Saptalochani Thangka is a beautiful representation of White Tara, the seven-eyed goddess of compassion, healing, and longevity. The goddess Saptalochani, "seven-eyed," is revered in Tibetan Buddhism for her capacity to perceive all suffering and extend her unwavering compassion. Her white physique symbolizes mental purity and the capacity to rise above material sorrow. Her hands are held protectively and kindly, and her peaceful face and elegant expression radiate compassion and serenity. She holds a lotus blossom in her left hand, symbolizing knowledge.
The seven eyes on her face, palms, and soles represent heavenly insight and omniscient awareness. The intricate use of natural stone hues and 24K gold in the artwork gives her body depth and richness. The artist has captured her robes' elaborate patterns and minute details, which feature gold thread-like decorations and ornamentation in the traditional Karma Gadri style.
The thangka has a soft beige background that lets White Tara radiate brilliantly. The lotus seat beneath her creates a calm and balanced atmosphere. CONSECRATION OF THANGKA
As requested for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to Monasteries/Rinpoches from nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $50 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration services.
