Description
Shakyamuni Buddha Thangka- Natural Stone Color
This Buddha thangka is done in traditional Karma Gadri style, using natural stone color. The good thing about natural stone color is it can easily last 100-200 years. Buddha is sited atop a moon disc lotus seat which seems to be floating in the water beneath white clouds. The colors combination in this thangka are harmoniously balanced to create soothing pleasure while visualizing it. This hand-painted Buddha painting in small size can be your perfect thangka to carry along wherever you are traveling.

Shakyamuni Buddha is the historical Buddha, the originator of Buddhist philosophy, and is commonly referred to as "the Buddha." In the Buddhist religion, each "Kalpa" (a Buddhist eon) is considered to have its own Buddha, whose teachings gradually fade until the next Buddha arrives. He is believed to have lived around 420 BC and spent most of his time preaching the teachings of Dharma. The Life of Buddha Thangka depicts his life in detail. He is regarded as a role model, mentor, and inspiration. The "dharma," or spiritual belief, and the "sanga," or Buddhist community, are said to secure his presence on Earth.
