Enlightened Siddha Milarepa, Tibetan Yogi & Buddha Vajradhara | Buddhist Masterpiece
The thangka honors the great Tibetan Siddha Milarepa, depicted in deep meditation, and is intricately drawn in the traditional Karma Gadri style. Utilizing natural colors from Lhasa stones and highlighted with genuine 24K gold, this hand-painted masterpiece brings elegance and a religious touch that enhances the scene's spiritual weight.
Milarepa, renowned for his profound poetic songs and teachings, is depicted seated in a tranquil landscape that reflects the serene highlands of Tibet. This landscape symbolizes the secluded retreats where he pursued enlightenment through intense meditation and asceticism. The artwork closely follows descriptions from traditional meditation manuals, ensuring that every detail, from his posture to the surrounding environment, is rich in symbolic accuracy and spiritual intent.
Above Milarepa, Vajradhara, the primordial Buddha, is portrayed as the ultimate source of all tantric teachings in Tibetan Buddhism. Vajradhara's presence in the thangka signifies the divine origin of the teachings that Milarepa mastered and subsequently passed down to his disciples. The flowing outlines and vibrant colors that connect Vajradhara and Milarepa illustrate the transmission of profound dharma from the celestial to the earthly realm.
