Standing Chenrezig Thangka
The Standing Chenresig is a special form of Avalokiteshvara. In this thangka, he is seen standing graciously holding a lotus flower on his left and and his right hand in the Varadamudra gesture. He is adorned with a special deerskin over his shoulders. He is wearing a crown of 5 jewels along with the other ornaments of a bodhisattva; earrings, bracelets, armlets, anklets, floating shawls and scarves. These are the representation of his enlightened experiences.

Chenrezig means "The One With An Unwavering Eye" in Sanskrit. He embodies the compassion of all Buddha. 1000 Armed Chenrezig has 11 Faces: 3 Green, 3 White, 4 Red, and 1 Blue in color along with 1000 arms. The practice of Chenrezig is encouraged to develop a calm and compassionate heart.
