Description
Hand-Painted Tantric Padma Rinpoche Thangka with 24K Gold Detailing
The tantric teacher and renowned "Lotus Born" master who introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet, is powerfully portrayed on this Tantric Padma Rinpoche thangka. Hand-painted in the traditional Karma Gadri technique on cotton canvas, the artwork has genuine 24K gold and natural stone hues. Padma Rinpoche's spiritual profundity and his position as a protector and guide are depicted in every brushstroke and detail, making this thangka a remarkable addition to any altar, meditation room, or holy area.
In his tantric form, Guru Rinpoche manifests as a protector and a compassionate figure. His capacity to eliminate negativity and lead practitioners over obstacles on the way to enlightenment is reflected in his calm yet semi-wrathful expression. He holds a skull cup in one hand, signifying his mastery over earthly illusions, and a vajra (diamond scepter) in the other, signifying unbreakable wisdom. The tantric sign of his spiritual power and ancestry, the katvanga staff, rests on his shoulder. His lotus seat represents purity and spiritual transcendence, and the 24K gold accents accentuate his glowing aura, giving the item a brilliant appearance.
