Our revered Thangka of Buddha Shakyamuni was created on high-quality cotton canvas with real 24K gold and acrylic colors. Following the Karma Gadri tradition, this style is characterized by its open, balanced compositions and minimal background details. The subtle application of color enhances elegance and space. At the same time, the gentle gradient transitions and soft muted tones emphasize the central figure, allowing natural elements to blend harmoniously within the piece. The inclusion of gold not only enriches the visual depth of the thangka but also introduces religious symbolism, serving as both decoration and a highlight for specific spiritual themes.
The historical founder of Buddhism, Shakyamuni Buddha, is depicted calmly seated in the Bhumi-Sparsha Mudra, which signifies the moment he summoned the Earth to witness his enlightenment. His monk's robe, ushnisha, and elongated earlobes symbolize renunciation, spiritual strength, and compassion. His glowing yellow body represents wisdom and merit. He holds a monk's alms bowl, which signifies discipline and purity.
The thangka features traditional motifs like blooming lotuses, halos, and various flowers, all of which enrich the narrative while keeping the figure as the central focus. These elements contribute to the meditative function of the thangka, resulting in a seamless combination of artistic skill and spiritual significance.

CONSECRATION OF THANGKA
As requested for consecrations/blessings, we can take thangka to Monasteries/Rinpoches from nearby Boudha Stupa. We kindly ask you to offer $50 for the monasteries for blessings/consecration services.
