Thangka of Manjushree | Buddha of Wisdom
A Thangka of Manjushri, also known as Manjughosha, is a revered Bodhisattva in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. He is depicted as a youthful figure wielding a sword in one hand, symbolizing the ability to cut through ignorance and delusion, and holding a book in the other, representing wisdom and knowledge. Manjushri embodies the principle of wisdom and is regarded as the Bodhisattva of transcendent wisdom.
Devotees turn to Manjushri for guidance in developing intellectual and spiritual insight, and he is particularly associated with cultivating wisdom and removing ignorance. He is also considered the patron Bodhisattva of scholars, students, and those seeking to deepen their understanding of the Dharma (Buddhist teachings). Manjushri's practice is integral to Buddhist traditions that emphasize the importance of wisdom on the path to enlightenment.
