33 cm Traditional Bodhisattva, Manjushri Thangka | Guardian of Knowledge
Created in the intricate Karma Gadri style, this traditional Bodhisattva Manjushri Thangka is hand-painted on fine cotton canvas using acrylic colors and 24K gold. Painting begins with a detailed sketch based on precise measurements handed down through centuries of Buddhist artistic tradition. By applying layers of mineral colors with steady brushstrokes and adding intricate gold details that reflect spiritual symbols, the composition's depth and brilliance are enhanced. Through this intricate process, the thangka transforms into both a beautiful piece of art and a meaningful source of spiritual blessings, rewarding patience and dedication.
Manjushri is regarded as the Bodhisattva of Wisdom in Buddhist tradition, representing transcendent knowledge and clarity of thought. He sits calmly on a lotus throne holding the Prajna Paramita sutra on a lotus in his left hand, symbolizing wisdom, and the fiery sword of wisdom in his right, representing the removal of ignorance. Manjushri radiates wisdom and enlightened insight through her elegant scarves, accessories, and five-jeweled crown. This thangka is not only a meditative aid but also a meaningful spiritual artwork, perfect for study, practice, and sacred display.
