Tsongkhapa, whose ordained name was Losang Dragpa, was a great Tibetan Buddhist Master who lived in the 14th century and developed and promoted the Kadampa Buddhism that Atisha had introduced three centuries before. His presence in Tibet was foreseen by Buddha himself. From the first step of beginning a spiritual practice to the eventual attainment of Buddhahood, he carefully taught the Tibetans what they needed to know about spiritual development. Thousands of Tibetans were inspired by Je Tsongkhapa's prime example of pure moral discipline, a loving manner of living, and profound, liberating wisdom during this golden age in Tibet.
