Vajrayogini, Red Dakini Thanka in 24K gold, Tibetan Painting
Vajrayogini is the other half of Chakrasamvara, depicted by the Khatvanga pole on her left shoulder. Vajrayogini is the most important tantric deity in Vajrayana practice. This Yogini thangka painting is painted in acrylic paints and 24K gold.
On her left hand, she holds kapala- a half skull from which she drinks blood. She is the goddess of grace and destruction, destroying illusion and the ego.
